Andy Moor's newest podcast will be aired on XtRadio. We had a long brake airing MR Moor's podcasts, but now we're back to our great habit, and hopefully we can stick to it. The great music represented by Andy Moor has built up the listener count on our small radio station, and we owe the fans this awesome music.

What is identi.ca ?
"Identi.ca is a microblogging service. Users post short (140 character) notices which are broadcast to their friends and fans using the Web, RSS, or instant messages."
Yes, a microblogging tool that lets you post short messages, which is highly usefull. Just like twitter, only here you have groups.
From today on there is the xtradio group. Register a username, and click join on http://identi.ca/group/xtradio site!
Why would you do this ? The answer is as easy as always.
Through this service you can request songs, send messages to the dj or the other listeners, say hi, or just simply tell something to the XtRadio users. Not to mention you will get news really fast through identi.ca. Read further to find out what is it all about.
How does it work?
The "!" string is for groups.
The "@" string is for users.
The "#" is for keywords.
Examples.
If I write on identi.ca "I am !listening to !xtradio now online with niceguys, http://listen.xtradio.org"
This notices all the users in the groups xtradio and listening! It only does so if you are a member of these groups, otherwise, it will not.
"@niceguy great mixing dude!!"
This notice will send niceguy a notice, and only he will see it.
"Great #music on !xtradio *dancing*"
This notice will go to everyone in the group xtradio, and #music will be clickable. If you click on it, you will see all the post with that keyword in.
Identi.ca is a great tool to communicate with your friends. You can subscribe to users also. So for example if you subscribe to me you will see all the messages I send out.
The messages can be retrieved in various ways. You have rss, you have plugins and widgets. For example I post my daily feed on my blog, it's a WordPress plugin. The eggdrop on our irc channel, retrieves the RSS feeds from identi.ca, showing each 5 minutes the posts to !xtradio. There is a drupal plugin too, I'm sure, of which I'll be takin' care off soon. You can add identi.ca to GTalk. A username will appear and you can post through there, and you can get the messages from your subscriptons also there. Information about that can be found in your profile under the IM settings. You can post too and through Facebook, you just need to add the identi.ca application.
